Gallery 101 block design & features
Gallery101 pairs a list of photo collections with a stack of tilted photos in a Shadcn UI section. The left column holds a heading, a description, and the collection list, where each row shows a name, a one-line description, and a photo count. The right column holds a portrait photo stack with the front photo upright and the rest fanned at small angles behind it, plus the current photo title and position below.
Choosing a collection slides a soft highlight to that row and swaps the stack: the old photos are thrown off to one side one after another while the new ones are dealt in from the other. Tapping the front photo lifts it out to the side and tucks it under the pile. Photos have a thick border in the background colour, a soft shadow, and rounded corners, and the caption cross-fades on each change.
The dealing transition gives the block a playful, physical quality that is uncommon in gallery sections. It needs a few collections of four or so portrait-friendly photos with a short title each. On mobile the collection list sits above the stack.
