Coverflow 54 block design & features
Coverflow54 is an immersive cover flow built with shadcn/ui and motion, shown here with a womenswear and menswear lookbook. A plain heading sits above a wide stage where the viewer stands at the centre of a dome. Seventy-six portrait cards line its inner surface in five rings, each one facing inward, and the edges of the view fade softly into the page background.
Dragging looks around the dome: sideways turns it all the way round, and up and down tilts the view within a limited range, with momentum after you let go and a gentle pull back if you tilt too far. On touch screens only the sideways turn is used so the page still scrolls. When left alone the dome drifts slowly round. Clicking a photo turns the view until it sits in the centre and opens it large over a soft backdrop, and Escape, the close button or a click outside closes it again. The arrow keys turn and tilt the view and Enter opens the photo nearest the centre.
It suits fashion labels, photographers and lookbooks with a large set of portrait images that reward browsing. It needs a set of photos, each with alt text; they repeat around the dome.
