Coverflow 53 block design & features
Coverflow53 is a cone carousel built with motion and CSS 3D transforms, shown here with ten campaign photos from a lifestyle shop: skincare portraits, gifts, shopping bags, accessories and a market stall. A plain heading sits above the cone and two round buttons sit below it, all on the page background.
The cards stand around a vertical axis on the surface of a cone that is wide at the bottom and narrow at the top, so each card leans back with the slope and turns as it travels round, and the cone is seen from slightly above. The card at the front is the largest and at full strength, and cards further round dim through a veil in the page colour. The cone turns slowly on its own and pauses while the pointer is over it. Dragging sideways spins it with inertia and snaps to the nearest card, clicking a card brings it to the front, and each wheel gesture, arrow key or button press turns it one card. It loops endlessly in both directions.
It suits retail and lifestyle brands that want to show a campaign or a set of collections in a single playful section. Each item needs a photo and alt text.
