Coverflow 52 block design & features
Coverflow52 is a Möbius strip carousel built with motion and CSS 3D transforms, shown here with twelve photos from a homeware shop: cups, jugs, lamps, candles, a plate and a teapot. A plain heading and one line of copy sit above the ribbon on the page background.
The cards are spaced evenly around a closed loop seen from slightly above. The loop twists half a turn over its full length like a Möbius strip, so the card at the front centre faces the viewer flat, the cards to either side turn a little more with each step, and the card at the very back lies edge-on. Cards behind the front are dimmed through a veil in the page colour. The ribbon travels slowly on its own; dragging sideways spins it with inertia and settles on the nearest card, each wheel gesture or arrow key moves it one card, and it picks up again after a few seconds. It loops endlessly, and on touch a sideways swipe spins it while vertical swipes still scroll the page.
It suits homeware, ceramics and lifestyle brands that want an image-only collection section with an unusual shape. Each item needs a photo and alt text.
