Coverflow 43 block design & features
Coverflow43 is a minimal team carousel built with shadcn/ui, motion and CSS 3D transforms. Six portraits sit around a cylinder that turns about its own axis, and the whole cylinder is rotated about twenty degrees so the row climbs from the lower left to the upper right. The cards stay square to the drum, with a clear gap between each, and the faces turned away fade into the page. There is no heading, caption or button row, only the portraits; the facing person's name and role are announced to screen readers as the drum turns.
The drum loops without an end: each person sits on the ring twice, half a turn apart, so there is always a full row on both sides and nothing jumps when the order wraps around. Dragging along the diagonal turns the drum with inertia and snaps to the nearest face on release, and on touch a sideways swipe turns it while vertical swipes still scroll the page. Clicking a side portrait turns it to the front the short way, a wheel or trackpad gesture moves one step, and the arrow keys, Home and End work when the drum has focus. Reduced motion jumps straight to each face.
It suits studios, agencies and small teams that want an about page with some movement but no visible text. Each person needs a name, a role and a portrait cropped close to the face; an optional object position keeps faces framed near the top of the 4:5 card.
