Coverflow 40 block design & features
Coverflow40 is a perspective staircase cover flow built with shadcn/ui for an interior design studio's portfolio of rooms. There is no heading: the photos climb away like a flight of stairs seen from the bottom, with the caption and controls centred beneath them. The selected photo is the largest and lowest, and each photo after it sits one step higher, smaller and further away, rising toward a vanishing point.
Going forward, the whole flight comes down one step toward you on a spring. The front photo grows, drops past the bottom and fades out, while a new photo fades in from nothing on the top step. The flight loops with no first or last photo. You can use the round buttons, the arrow keys in any direction, the scroll wheel (one step per gesture), a vertical or horizontal drag with flick, or click a photo further up to climb to it. On touch screens only a horizontal swipe moves the flight, so the page still scrolls normally. The room name and location line swap with a short blur, and a counter between the arrow buttons shows which photo is selected.
It suits interior designers, architects and furniture brands that want to walk visitors through finished rooms one at a time. It needs a landscape photo, a room name and a short location or style line for each room. Ten or more photos keep five steps in view; smaller sets show fewer.
