Coverflow 27 block design & features
Coverflow27 is a pointer-scrubbed cover flow built with shadcn/ui and Motion. Instead of clicking or dragging, moving the pointer from one side of the stage to the other sweeps the whole series past the center. The motion runs through a spring, so the cards glide and overshoot slightly, and when the pointer leaves the stage it settles on the nearest portrait.
The portraits are shown in grayscale and dim the further they sit from the focused frame, which turns flat while the rest angle away steeply. Below the row, the subject name and location update as each portrait reaches the front, above a scrubber of thin ticks with a marker that tracks the exact position. Ticks are clickable and the arrow keys step one frame at a time.
The feel is quiet and photographic, suited to a photographer or casting portfolio. It needs a set of portrait images with a name and caption for each.
